Nonsense Poem

I walked and I crawled
Through smick and smead
Climbing over roches and boggles
I tombled over and fripped my head

It seemed I was dreaming
I was carried into a castle
By odd creatures called ultechs
But no this was no contasle

I was on a crazy planet
Where the people were purple
They zimmered and zammed
With their kind leader Sir. Snurple

They had no boredull
Just play time and games
There was no learning
The creatures were bondames

The place was great
But wow was it buzzoncurs
I had to get out
So I left on one of the flying monscurrs

Nonsense poem
I just started writing about an adventure

Balad

Life was ver unfair
When you were a slave
No one took any care
You had to be brave

They wer put up for sale
With nowhere to hide
Young, old, male or female
No one on their side

Often taken away
Left with no mother
Not ever a good day
There for eachother

A long day of working
Hot under the sun
Getting lots of whipping
Always want to run

In the dark, late at night
The brave ones set forth
Without any light
Off to the free North

Slavery
I couldn't think of any thing else.

Acrostic Poem

F un times are always enjoyed
R ight by your side for any pain
I n your hearts at all times
E ven when we disagree
N earest thing to family
D oing favours assisting eachother
S pecial memories are made and never forgotten

Friends
I hung out with a few friends and had a great time with them.

Favourite Poem

My favourite poem of all the ones I have written is the Shakespearean Sonnet. I wrote it about friendship and I thought it was very well written because I used many similies that can really help understand how great and important friends are to me and even to the reader. I think this poem is very easy for anybody that thinks friends are important to relate to because with any friends there are always those days you might get in a disagreement and there are the great days when you have the most fun ever with them. This poem is my favorite because it is written about friends but also because I have never written a poem better then this one. I love being with my friends and talking to them and i hope they like me to. I wrote this poem to show how great friends are.

Board Finals

We're finally here
It comes down to this
After a long year
When we serve, we can't miss
It comes down to this
We need to play our game
When we serve, we cant miss
Let's give them some shame
We need to play our game
It's on the line
Let's give them some shame
Call it and say mine
It's on the line
Were finally here
Call it and say mine
After a long year

Pantoum Poem

Board finals were coming up and we had just won semi's at boards. But then board finals got cancelled and we had to wait until after the break to play. We tried our best but lost and i was sick and couldn't play.

Holiday Time

Christmas Spirit

Christmas
Bells rining loud
Presents under the tree
All the family together
Turkey

Snow

White snow
Everywhere
It's all over the ground
It's time to play, oh all the fun
Snowballs

Family

Famjam
I love them all
We do stuff in a group
Together for the holidays
So fun

Cinquain Poem

I chose to write about the Holiday Spirit because holidays/christmas were coming it had begun snowing that week and my uncle from Vancouver was coming.

Sports

When the puck is dropped
The players dash on the ice
It's a goal the puck is in

When you tee it up
Hit the ball with a one wood
Let the tiny ball soar

Serve it in the court
Set the ball up and spike hard
Hit the floor and score

Haiku Poem

I chose to write about sports because i couldn't think of anything to write about in such a small amount of words so i just chose sports which i play almost every day.

A time to talk

When a friend calls to me from the road
And slows his horse to a meaning walk,
I don't stand still and look around
On all the hills i haven't hoed,
And shout from where I am, What is it?
No, not as there is a time to talk.
I thrust my hoe in the mellow ground,
Blade-end up and five feet tall,
And plod: I go up to the stone wall
For a friendly visit.

When I am working in the garden
And a friend asks to talk,
I don't stand and look at all of the work i haven't finnished.
I don't say I have too much work.
I look at my and remember how important he is.
I drop my tools and walk over to him.
I say, "Yes, I have time to talk"

Model Poem

I chose this poem because it shows how friends are important and can't be put aside. They are one of the most important things to me.

Friendship

Never the same, changing over the years;
Some come and go, some will always remain.
Through thick and thin and through all of the tears;
There for your happiness, there for your pain.

Like an ocean with waves, there's ups and downs.
Smiles are brought out with fun times and laughter.
Rumors, fights and gossip bring out the frowns.
Through hard times, eachother we look after.

The good and the bad, everything we share.
Secrets and sad news, always there for me.
If a heart be broke, always there for care.
Done with all the fighting, glad we will be,

I love them all, they nake ne complete.
Without my friends, my life is an empty street.

Shakespearean Sonnet

I hung out with my friends that week and there was some drama at the time.

Ghosts

Concrete poem

I wrote about ghosts because i could not think of many ideas for this one and Halloween was coming.

(By the way sorry for the bad writing, it's hard to see)

Storms and Volleyball

Volleyball, a vicious storm
A whirlwind of activity

The players are lightnungbolts
As they move everywhere

The setters are the brightest flash
Preparing the attck

Hitters making the biggest crash
Smashing the ball to the ground

The ball is wind blowing everywhere
A tsunami going over the net

Players are raindrops
Hitting the floor

Extended Metaphor
I made the team for both I tried out for.

Volleyball

Circle poem.

I chose to write about volleyball because tryouts were starting at school and outside school.
